As a person who has always struggled to maintain a healthy weight, I understand weight loss from a patient prospective. I understand that it is difficult to “stick” to a healthy regimen when you aren’t seeing progress on the scale. Rather than focusing only on calories in/calories out, I treat you based on a holistic approach. We discuss thoughts/feelings about food, macronutrient intake, water intake, and activity. We also discuss triggers of overeating, such as stress/anxiety. We treat the root of the issue by addressing metabolic causes of obesity with medication. We develop a program that works for YOU!

I understand weight loss struggles. My highest weight was 316lbs in 2013. After having gastric sleeve in 2013, I lost 144lbs and reached a weight of 172. I maintained this weight for about 4 years. My weight started to slowly creep up again and I tried every diet, working with a trainer, meal replacement programs- I tried it all. Despite continuing all of the same healthy behaviors I had adopted following my weight loss surgery, my weight increased every month. What I didn’t realize at the time was my metabolism had slowed to compensate for my decreased intake. This meant maintaining a healthy weight would require a significant increase in activity or a decrease in intake. In January 2022, I started a medication that changed my life. With this medication, I lost 57lbs and reached the lowest weight I have achieved as an adult, 155. Since that time, I have maintained my weight between 145 and 155.
